How to use the Magic The Fathering Trading card database
Dex's Magic TCG card database is easy to use. Simply browse any of the items above,
click on them for full details like mana cost, power/toughness, etc.
Search for a card
If you know the name of the card, simply search for it on top and click "Search".
Filtering and sorting
You can drill down the cards you want by color identity, mana cost, or card type by using the filters on the left.
Filter by set, format legality, rarity, etc.
Note: Searching on the top bar will search with these filters applied. Make sure to reset them before searching again.
See all sets
If you want to know all of the cards that are part of a set (Like Modern Horizons 3) you can head straight to Magic sets list for the complete card lists for each.
Advanced search functions
Looking for a card from a particular set?
You can find more cards from the same expansion by clicking the "Set" name inside the details view. This makes it easy to collect all of the cards from a single release.
Find by Artist
Use the filter function to limit the database to only show cards from your favorite artists. You can further refine your search by only looking for cards of a certain color or type.
Make your deck
Use the filter function to find the perfect cards for your next masterpiece. Sort and filter to find creatures with specific power/toughness, or instants with a certain mana value.
